Do you take the curtains down or do I?

Neither. We clean them on the rail with a low-moisture steam extraction tool, so nothing is unhooked, driven away or rehung.

How long do curtains take to dry?

Usually within a few hours. Curtains hang in moving air with nothing underneath them, so they dry faster than a sofa. In winter, keep the room heated with a window slightly open.

Can you clean blockout or thermal-backed curtains?

Yes, provided the face fabric is synthetic, which most are. We check the label and the backing during the quote and tell you if a particular panel is not suitable.

Please ask when you send your photos. Roller, vertical and Roman blinds are made from very different materials and we assess them case by case rather than promising a result we cannot check first.

Does curtain cleaning help with dust and allergies?

It helps as part of a routine. The National Asthma Council Australia lists curtains among the soft furnishings dust mites live in. Extraction removes the dust, dander and mite waste a vacuum leaves behind in the weave, but regular vacuuming between cleans still matters.

Which areas do you cover?

The Australian Capital Territory, including Belconnen, Gungahlin, Tuggeranong, Woden Valley and Weston Creek, plus Queanbeyan and Googong in New South Wales.

Are your cleaners insured and police-checked?

Yes. We carry $20 million public liability insurance, and every technician holds a current national police check, a White Card and a seasonal flu vaccination. Our ABN is 99 253 199 401 and can be checked on the public register. We are family owned and have been operating since 2013.

How much does curtain cleaning cost?

Do you take the curtains down?

No. We clean them on the rail with a low-moisture steam extraction tool. Nothing is unhooked, driven away or rehung, so there is no creasing or lost hooks.

Will my curtains shrink?

Synthetic curtains, which most modern blockout and thermal curtains are, hold their size. Pure cotton and linen can shrink with any wet method, so for those we usually recommend a dry cleaner and tell you that at the quote.

How we clean your curtains

Five steps on every window. The first one decides everything.

Label and fibre check

We find the care label on the heading tape or side hem and identify the fibre. If the label is gone, we work it out ourselves. This decides whether steam cleaning is safe.

Before photos with a job label

Each window is photographed before we start, with a numbered job label in the shot, so you have an honest record of the starting condition.

Test a hidden patch

A small area at the bottom hem is cleaned first to confirm the colour holds and the fabric does not react.

Vacuum, pre-treat and extract

Loose dust is vacuumed off, the leading edges and any marks are pre-treated, then each panel is worked top to bottom with the low-moisture tool and finished with dry passes.

After photos and walkthrough

We photograph the same windows again and check the result with you before we leave. Anything you are not happy with, we redo on the spot.

How we decide what is safe

On-site steam extraction (synthetics and blends)

Low-moisture cleaning on the rail for polyester, acrylic and blended curtains, including most blockout and thermal-backed panels. Dries within hours in moving air.

Cotton and linen: we tell you the risk

Natural fibres can shrink or pucker with any wet method, and linings shrink at a different rate to the face fabric. We say so upfront and usually point you to a dry cleaner for these.

Dry clean only, silk and velvet: vacuum only

We do not wet-clean these on-site. We remove loose dust with the upholstery tool and tell you honestly that anything more risks the fabric.
